A Private Pilot Licence (PPL) allows you to fly as a Pilot-In-Command (PIC) or co-pilot of a Malaysian-registered aircraft (not operated for hire and reward), for the aircraft class or types as endorsed in your licence.
To obtain a PPL, you must
- be at least 17 years old;
- be able to read, write and communicate in English at a working level; and
- meet at least Class 2 medical requirements.
In addition, you will need to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical experience. You must also pass the theoretical knowledge examinations and skill test conducted at a Flight Training Organisation (FTO) or a Flying Club providing instructional flying (FC) approved by CAAM and meet all regulatory licensing requirements.
